Professor Wei Shen Lim of the Nottingham Respiratory Research Unit and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, has today received The BTS Award for Meritorious Service for his contribution to national and international research and clinical guidance in relation to lung infections – particularly Community Acquired Pneumonia and Pandemic Influenza.
A consultant respiratory Physician, Professor Lim has played a leading role in a number recent BTS initiatives including lead for the national BTS audit of community acquired pneumonia in adults (CAP), the development of the BTS CAP care bundle, and chair of the BTS guideline for the management of community acquired pneumonia in adults.
